Cactus Pointe  Baptist Church began in the cafeteria of Trailside Point Elementary School on July 3, 2011. There were 17 people in that first service, with one young man trusting Christ as his Savior.
Since that time, hundreds of people have visited our church, with many coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
In February of 2013, CPBC moved to its current location on W. Baseline Road. Many things have transpired over the course of those years, but one thing remains, we are a group of “called out” believers determined to honor Christ and grow in faith.

Cactus Pointe Baptist Church is a group of people from all walks of life who have found love and grace in Jesus Christ. We are not perfect, in fact, we are anything but. That being said, it is at our very core that we Honor Christ in everything we do. While we are not perfect, you will find a group of people who love God, love one another, and desire to apply the principles of God’s Word in their lives.

Our Heart For You
It is in our heart that every guest in our church feel like they are welcomed and loved. From the moment you arrive, you will be greeted by our loving church family. From this point, should you have questions, or need help in any way, please do not hesitate to let us know.
Preaching the Bible is at the center of our services. Our pastor and the guest preacher in our church are passionate students of God’s Word who have a desire to present the principles of the Bible in a clear and practical way. All teaching and preaching in our church is done from the King James Bible, and is delivered in a loving and passionate way.
Who We Are
We live in a day when churches do everything they can to disguise motives and beliefs, and seek only to entertain people for the sake of growth. At Cactus Pointe, we echo the words of Paul the Apostle in II Corinthians 4:2-3, and do not want anyone to wonder who we are or what our “agenda” is. Our desire is to Elevate Christ, Evangelize the Lost, and Equip the Saints.
Furthermore, it is for this purpose that we unashamedly tell people “who we are.”
We Are…
1) Independent: We are not associated with any denomination, council, or other form of church hiearcy, which are clearly unscriptural. CPBC is an independent, self supporting church with Christ as our Head.
2) Fundamental: The term fundamental has, in current culture, become only associated with “radical” and/or “extreme” philosophies. We, none the less, embrace the true meaning of “fundamental,” in that, we hold to the fundamental doctrines of the Bible. We are not given to winds of change, and will not be swayed by what is popular or culturally relevant. This means that we love Christ, His Word, and His Church.
3) Baptist: While we are NOT part of any denomination, we distinctly Baptist. We believe that the distinct principles and doctrines that the Baptists people have held to are both scriptural and accurate.
4) Timeless: We do not believe that just because society changes, God or His church should too. In fact, it is our duty to shine even brighter in this dark world. Churches that are making a real and lasting effect in our society, are not those who embrace the philosophies of men, but exemplify the principles of Scripture.

Salvation In Christ
Cactus Pointe exists to honor Jesus Chriist, to preach the Gospel, and to equip believers. It is at the heart of our church, that everyone hear a clear presentation of the Gospel (Good News). If you are not 100% sure that if you died today, you would go to heaven, we want you to know what the Bible says.
   1) Understand that you are a sinner: Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Everyone of us was born into sin, and because of sin, we fall short of God’s glory.
   2) Realize the penalty (payment) for sin: Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death;…” Hebrews tells us that “it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” Every one of us is condemned to death (in Hell) because of sin.
   3) Know that God loves you inspite of your sin. Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Jesus Christ paid the penalty for your sin on the cross. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life trough Jesus Christ our Lord.”
   4) Accept God’s free gift of salvation: Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Paul explains in the previous verses (vs 9) “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
If you would like to know 100% that you are on your way to heaven, we invite you to confess your sin, and ask Jesus to be your Savior. If you need assistance or have more questions, please do not hesitate to let us know. We’d be glad to serve you.
