What Should I Expect?

At Cactus Pointe, we believe that the principles of the church are not “old-fashioned,” but timeless. Our hearts desire is to honor the Lord Jesus Christ and to encourage and equip the people of God. For this purpose, you will not find the trendy entertainment type of church, but an excited group of people who are growing in the grace and knowledge of our Savior.
When you arrive for your first visit, you will find friendly people from all backgrounds and walks of life, who have found a common peace, faith, and energy in living for Christ.

Your First Visit

We want you to feel welcome during your first visit. When you arrive, one of our ushers will hand you a visitors package, which includes information about our church, a gift from us, and a visitor card. More importantly, you will find people who are gracious and excited to help you feel right at home. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to let us know.

We have a nursery for children aged 0-5yrs during all of our services, including Spanish. Our nursery workers are loving and qualified workers who desire to serve your children.

        Frequent Questions

Do you have Small Groups?
CPBC has classes for all age groups during our Sunday School hour at 9am. The following is a list of our classes:
-Nursery (ages 0-5)     -BLOCKS (ages 6-10)      -Unbound Teens
-Cornerstone Bible Class (Adults)      -Discipleship (Adults)
-Spanish Class

What kind of music should I expect?
Worship is very important to us. You will find that we sing alot of songs of worship and hymns during congregational singing, and while our choir and some groups will sing specials, it is never our intent to “perform” or “entertain.” -We desire to please Christ!

Do you have a dress code?
No. While you will find that our staff, leadership, and some of our members dress in their Sunday best, it is our desire that you feel comfortable during your visit. Please do not feel like you need to purchase a new wardrobe in order to worship with us.

Am I expected to give during the offering?
Absolutely not. We encourage those who feel led to give during the offering to do so, but never wish to pressure anyone. All that we ask is that you will fill out a visitor card, and turn it in for our records.

How will I know where to go?
You will find that all of our members are friendly and excited to have you in our service. If you have any questions, please just ask the first person you meet.
